Blogging with Portal Feeder

Filed under: Blogging — PortalFeeder Guide @ 8:38 am

In addition to “static” websites (they are really static, since you can keep them updating themselves with the drip feature of PortalFeeder), Portal Feeder also lets you work directly with the popular and free blogging software: Wordpress.

That’s right, in PortalFeeder, you define a Blog Portal, which lets you drip content on your schedule to a Wordpress blog.  When you define the Blog Portal within PF, it asks you for the access to the Wordpress blog, automatically installs a plug-in that extends the XML-RPC interface, and then it can take assets from your article packs and product packs and drip them into your blog portal.

This neat feature of Portal Feeder also lets you stuff content into a new blog, letting you define how many articles you want to add, and what date range you want them added (including back dating, so a blog looks older than it might actually be).
